ENTEGA, a Damrmstadt-based municipal utility that provides infrastructure services in Germany, and Hitachi are working together to build a system that simultaneously optimizes electricity trading and operation planning. Hitachi has developed and is testing an optimization software which manages both operation plan at power stations and trade plans of surplus electricity at high-effeciency and premium price in the German electricity wholesale market, where prices often fluctuate significantly.
