UC Irvine made headlines when they announced their Overwatch varsity program and unveiled their new esports arena — the first at a public university. Since then, the Anteaters have consistently dominated the competitive scene with strategic play and overwhelming talent, and have emerged undefeated as the #1 seed in the championship.
