Work Reworked: Surface tablets score a big hit with the Kansas City Royals


It’s a whole new ballgame. Scouts for the 2015 World Series Champions embrace technology to field a winning sports team and bring fresh ideas to America’s favorite pastime. Traditional tools of the baseball scouting trade included hand-written notes and hand-typed scouting reports along with stopwatches to clock runners and, eventually, radar guns to measure pitch speed. Now it’s all done via a Surface device – from assessing amateur talent to pro stars in the MLB.
